This was my first XC season. I only managed 4 out of 6. I joined the club after the first one had happened, then one week I was snowed under with work. I've enjoyed them all though. Looking forward to the road series now!

Hills of Death (HOD)
Last XC (although they call it Frost bite it's 70-80% off road) of season, can' believe the amount of puffyness avoiding the mud going on !!! Love it

I'm with you on that HOD. I set our course to go through 20 metres of ankle deep water, which was unavoidable, and yet 50 metres later where there was maybe 4 more some runners would tiptoe the extra distance around the fringes rather than ploughing the shorter route through it.

HOD at the nationals people stopped when they saw the muddy bits and it nearly caused a 2000 runner pile up!
