Anyone doing Heaton Psrk next week? I love the sound of feet thudding down that first hill when the gun goes off. Its like being a horse in the grand national!

Won the Gloucester league Under 15's - paced perfectly.
A rather nice course, and I'm relatively pleased with the performance taking into the account I've just done steady / tempo running with no sessions.

Nice one CB!
Midlands XC Relays at Walsall Arboretum for our club - really enjoyed it. A nice course, a lot of it was completely under water - the ground was very heavy going and very muddy in places . I think the whole nature of it meant everyone had a good run because they were doing it for the team. We were never going to win any prizes but we certainly didn't disgrace ourselves.
Next stop N Staffs League - Park Hall on 27th Oct - looking for some off road ParkRuns in the meantime to keep momentum going.

ndellar - Will probably be running parkruns too to keep the legs ticking over
Will have to make the decision whether to do the first Oxford league fixture (which is horrible!) or the (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire match) in Maidenhead which seems much more appealing!

I need to get ready for XC. Need to get back training properly.
Got some Kilkenny's the other day as I need some new spikes (well I will after I finish off my old ones in the first race), don't fit me well though and a 14 is hard to find, lol, so I'll be sticking with NB as they suit my feet.

Had a good run at the Surrey Vets XC Champs today in Richmond Park, my time of 44:43 over the 10k course is only 29secs slower than my road 10k PB so I could be looking at a new PB at that distance when I next race one.
Obviously not anywhere near winning any medals but a good fun run and enjoyed the finish where a couple of Croydon men tried to pass me but I managed to hold them off.

North London Champs on Horsenden Hill today for me. Bit of a disappointing course, similar to Stevenage in that its pretty flat and little mud. 20th place was a good run for me, seem to be getting back to form pretty quickly. Next up is the London Champs on Parly Hill, fingers crossed for some rain!
