Zombie thread alert :-O

No, they're not. There is a "magic" weight loss jab available now, but if you're the in the target readership for this thread you're unlikely to be in the target market for the drug.

Thanks all, suspected so. Just wondered if it helped with appetite suppression or feeling fuller. But how could "herbal" do that. Cheers. Good luck everyone with your goals. :-) G

If a "herbal" anything was safe and effective for weight loss it would be available on the NHS like other plant-derived chemicals that have been found to have medicinal properties.

Agree - with fibre.

herbal stuff can be quite powerful - hemlock is a herb that will suppress your appetite and breathing and life

Thought it was had work running on Boxing day, so weighed my self today. I put on 4 lb in two days of eating over Christmas and boxing day! How much do others (women in particular) put on? How long does it take you to get rid generally?

Hi Piglet :) Good zombie thread resurrection! We had some slightly deranged fun on here in prehistoric times.

I probably haven't put anything on over Christmas. I've eaten different things rather than eating more.

I will get on the scales on Sunday, don’t think it will be too bad

4lb would be (approximately) 14000 calories over and above your normal eating so not fat! Mostly fluid retention so should move fairly easily I believe

(So says the fat pixie)

I lost a few pounds before Christmas and feel much better for it. Hopefully still under 10 stone but scared to look 😂

About This Thread

Maintained by Rach E
The thread for people who aren't "fat", but need to lose a few pounds to be at their racing best.

Criteria for entry:
- You must "look slim" and, if you say you want to lose weight to a "normal" member of the public, are greeted with the response "Why the f*ck do you need to lose weight?".
- You do not have a large amount to lose, but need to lose a small amount to get to "ideal racing weight".
- Typically, you will train heavily so food intake will need to match training levels.
- Fad diets (e.g. the eating 20 kumquats before dawn and starving for the rest of the day diet) is not allowed.
- Once your BMI reaches 18.5, you will be banned from losing any more weight. Equally, if you have more than a stone or so to lose, you may get better results from some of the other dieting threads. We'll probably only lose 0.5lbs to 1lb a week at best here
