Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What percentage did Nike claim on the Alphafly? Or did they just let the sub two do the talking?

I think the latter - I guess we could calculate what the 40 seconds Kipchoge knocked off his previous attempt is as a percentage. :)

On my own little experiment (sample size 1), I'd say 2%+

Finally had to give up on my original vaporfly 4%

As you can see the upper which has done in excess of 600 miles is in excellent condition

I am a supponater not a heal striker(the actual heal area still looked pretty solid) but I do hit the outside edge on a very flat landing.

I have another pair that are used but only around 50 miles and I may just use them for training as I like running in them and frankly they last far better than expected.

That still looks pretty decent apart the cut bit. Could try some shoe goo to get a bit more of them for training.

What's the story with the knot in the laces at the toe end Gobi? Is this some tri-thing?

ah, sad times Gobi!

I threw my original (2017) pair away just last week. Mine were through to the carbon plate on the forefoot. If you were also in midget sizes I perhaps could have re-used yours!

Most triathletes arenโ€™t that bright and struggle to tie their shoelaces :-)

I actually used elastics in my VFs for a duathlon last summer and found then a bit sloppy but it had a lot of semi-rough tracks and grass so probably more a terrain than lacing issue.
