According to the PCA (Pretend Cornish Alliance), Cornish pasties don't have carrots in them.

On the other hand, I can't remember the last time I had a pasty made by anyone other than Ginsters - and *they* have carrots. Perhaps they're secretly Canadian?

I thought the orange bits in a pasty were swede?

Rather partial to a cheese n onion pasty from Greggs, but beyond that - no thanks. I'll have a Nun's Fart instead.

Ginsters is a sham pasty. A 'proper' pasty should have shortcrust pastry not flaky. Filling should be beef skirt, onion, potato, swede (or yellow turnip), salt & pepper.

Cornish Pasties would go well in a ‘wildly over-rated foods’ Deathmatch.

As would Caviar, avocado, mushy peas and Yorkshire pudding.

Tofu, alas, whilst criminally bland isn’t rated enough to threaten ‘over-rated’.
