Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Mr Marlow retired after 100 miles. Good effort.

Back at work today after my fun trip out on the Pennine Way and trying very unsuccessfully not to get distracted by the really interesting race up front and the strugles of people further back.

Will obviously be interested to see who makes first break out of Jasmin and Eugeni, but I'm really impressed that Eoin is not losing too much ground on them. He didn't look in top form at Hawes, but if he keeps moving he is still definitely in the race as Pavel showed last year.

Well done on your excellent run Simon, we were willing you on from afar!

Did you see that Eugeni appeared to make up a kilometer or so on Jasmin before they came down into Dufton? We were wondering all kinds of scenarios, probably all wrong.

I have spent so many hours studying trackers and trying to extrapolate that I try to look at them on a macro level and not get too excited. I'm not very good at it. I think Jasmin will be keener to lose Eugeni than the other way round though. I started wondering if she'd slowed down to avoid him ;).

That's exactly what we thought! She must be fed-up of him by now.

I'm up on the A66 (heading out shortly to give Shelli a shout). The wind has picked again over night but it's clear and the cloud is pretty high. Cross Fell will hard work into the wind but nothing like last year.
