All the benches in Harrogate have this snake design (tricky to see, there's a snake head at the top and head underneath. ) I am always amused by this bench and the lack of view, which I drive past frequently. |

I was inspired to find out why all the Harrogate benches have snakes. So the serpent is from the Greek god of health due to Harrogate being a spa town. I've even found a place you can buy them! logic-sf.co.uk |

I hacked my way up a hillside to a non-honeypot summit today and was impressed to find a huge cairn, a shiny orientation plaque, a stone windbreak, a stray fell runner, and a bench. |
