Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT
====

Amos has just called Avasarala 'Crissie'. It's been a long time since a novel made me splutter my tea in delight.

Columba, the Black Hill is the Black Hill, the Vision is the Vision, in the Llanthony Valley, Capel-y-ffin, now owned by Monty Don. Rhulen isnt Rhulen, it is actually Hay-on-Wye. So he throws things around a bit.

Interesting, thanks Hanneke. I had wondered if Rhulen was Abergavenny but I'm obviously slightly out!

Good Lord! the Official Book has taken over the Unofficial thread! It's even infecting Grep's hobbity thing.

I thought Grep was the hobbity thing? Now I hear his thing is infected and hobbity?

[ ;-) sorry, can’t resist making these sort of comments. I will work on being a better person.]

Brethren, be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour : whom resist, stedfast in the faith.
