Yes, I go to the gym at lunchtime a couple of times a week and this normally includes core work.

I’m doing the 5001 press up challenge. I did get out my chin up bar yesterday but I really need to work on those. I can only manage about 3 before I have to stop.

We've got a good Time Tracking thread going, where we log the non-running, as well as the running, to try and encourage / support each other to do gym/rehab/core/cross train etc. fetcheveryone.com/viewtopic.php?id=60969 Come join. I managed body pump last night, with foam roller and stretches first, and after some bridges and eccentric heel drops. Hoping it all helps keep me running! G |

Are people finding it more or less easy to be motivated to get your stuff done in lockdown? I'm definitely doing more. Core work every other day or so, circuits 2 or 3 times a week. I've even done my first proper weights session this year on Thursday. So how is it going for you? |

It's not, I can't get myself worked up to do anything other than my out of house daily exercise at the moment. My belly's telling me I should be doing more.

I have good intentions but I seem to be using them to pave the way to hell (also known as my sofa).

I'm finding that the extra exercise is a way to avoid boredom, but so is food!

I've been using the extra time saved by not commuting to try out different stuff but that's mostly been cardio and core benefits would be incidental.

I'm down on my cross train while gym is closed. I've tried to sort of do Les Mills Body pump in my front room but I don't have weights! Got a survey from my gym, Bannatyne's, today re. opinions on re-opening and what measures we would support. I said Yes to everything. Basically open as soon as you are allowed but implement every distancing and safety measure you can. FIngers crossed. G |
