Slightly. My eyes aren't orange anymore and managed a slow 3 miles on the tready, so I'll call that a small win :)

I don't mind. In my 28 marathons I have been absolute last 3 times, in the last 10 another 4 or 5 times and in the last 25 a couple of times :)

And this race I have run just like a marathon - started off well and maybe too enthusiastically, steadied out in the middle and slowed right down by the finish :)

My first post-lockdown event will hopefully be something called the Classic Quarter, which goes for 44 miles from England's most southerly point to England's most westerly point along the South West Coast Path. I have absolutely no interest in how long it will take me (although I do appreciate that I shouldn't keep the event team waiting too long at checkpoints or at the finish) and it will be 100% about the journey. :-)
