I overbaked them (or more accurately, the oven did, I took the instructions as gospel and didn't check on them soon enough) and quite honestly they didn't seem worth the faff compared to just picking up a packet in the shops.

And it's not as if I am a regular churchgoer anyway........

They didn't really come out right and are somewhere between scone (but not much) and a regular HotXB only with apple in. We have had 4 so far. Does the panel think these count?
