Here's a superb piece of Motown that you might not have heard before .... just brilliant.

This is a great track and very classic northern soul. I’m always surprised that This Old Heart of Mine isn’t played at NS nights, as I find that v classic NS too

I agree. Like most NS afficionados I love the Isley Bros, they made some great records that fit the "northern" groove perfectly.

While we're talking about them, I also think that "Summer Breeze" was one of the best ever Motown tracks, not quite NS though :-)

Go on then, it IS winter after all. To warmer days eh?

Continuing with the Motown theme I was watching Cheaters at the weekend and there’s a scene with Northern Soul dancers moving to this

Interesting. I've heard that record before, but had no idea it had any popularity as a dancer. I can see why, it's a belter.

I’ll see if I can link the program. They played Tainted Love and another record that I didn’t recognise

Wasn't she the one that Berry shacked up with after Raynoma left him? She scarpered to be with Eddie Singleton of course, they wouldn't have known it at the time, but Northern Soul history was being made! :-) Anyone know WTF I'm talking about here??? Think ultra-rare records :-)
