Lovely piece of 70s soul here .... please give it a try, it was re-released in 2020 as it was so popular on the rare soul scene. Great record, has the Exile stamp of approval.

Just managed to listen to Let Me Down Easy. Great song. Heard it on a show previously - probably Craig Charles. A popular dance track samples the beginning.
The reggae cover I heard this morning is much further removed from Northern Soul, but inspired me to check out Bobby’s great original. Coincidentally when we were in the Norfolk Broads recently we moored up one evening on Womack’s Island, which I immediately renamed Bobby Womack’s Island
