Bobby Treetop had two records big on the NS scene, that's quite unusual for such an obscure artist As well as "Wait Till I Get To Know Ya" there was "So Sweet, So Satisfying", equally as good too. I recall that "So Sweet" is the rarer one of the two and went for serious money, the last time I heard of one changing hands was for around £500. Trivia: both records have the same flip side
I haven't achieved much today, but I have been digging for music in some very obscure corners - and here's one of the most obscure records you'll ever hear, but a rare northern soul number all the same Haven't heard this for flipping years .....
The CD this is featured on (above) was a bootleg, thinly disguised as a legitimate release. Cameo Parkway didn't licence their music for many years, certainly not before 2002 when this CD came out. It's quite rare now
I've chewed over my proposal today for the Top 100 and have decided on one from the goddess Maxine Brown, this is the original version of "Oh No Not My Baby", also recorded by Aretha Franklin and Linda Ronstadt and while they're good, this is the best
I thought I might indulge of my "other" passion for your entertainment
