The Mighty Fleecy
My feet were cold and wet all the way home even having put new socks on in the pub, I think my shoes were basically a big sponge full of puddle.

I did call on my daughter for two cups of tea and some cake. But if I'd been out of the pub a half a minute earlier I'd have caught the bus to Barnes station and caught the next train.
Filled with a lovely warm glow now.
Must say, if I'd really thought it would rain that much, I'd have been better prepared. The run was fine; it was just afterwards that I got a bit too cool.
We should find a pub with no outside door to our room and a roaring fire in our room next time.
Great to meet everyone again, and very glad that gambling on Jenelopy worked out.

And little shoe heating blocks for drying out shoes. All pubs should have those.

We’re currently in a Premier Inn drying our clothes with a hairdryer:-). We travelled to Battle with the lovely B and she gave us a lift to the hotel. That’s worked out very well as it’s pouring down here even harder now.

Do you have air con McG? Hanging clothes up under the vent dries stuff overnight.
I hope the weather is better tomorrow!
