Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

20 for me today, was going to do another next weekend but instead I'm firmly on the taper now!

Any tips on getting from Fulham Road to Blue start? Naive Geordie thought I could just jump on tube but apparently not :-) Is there a tube within walking distance of Blackheath?

Yee Haa! 23 miles done today and felt great, so relieved. Having a reduced taper due to lack of training so got 18 next Sunday but pleased to get today's run done, in shorts and tshirt in the sunshine with clubmates. Bring it on!

Still not settled on a target pace, will play it by ear on the day I think, will complete spreadsheet this week as best I can!

less than 3 weeks to go, hurrah!

Ps sorry scooba Steve can't help you with that. I know the trains to Blackheath go from central London, details are in the mag sent last week. Can u get from Fulham Road into London bridge?

I think I can get District line to Victoria then train to Blackheath takes about an hour but looks like first tube is just after 8 - I guess 9 ish is OK time to get to the start?

There may be earlier trains on the day will look into it in more detail nearer the time :-)

Hi Steve! I would (being a former londoner) get an 11 bus to Charing cross and then.train.to Blackheath. That takes about an hour.

Tube, tube, train is your other option but there appear to be no tubes earlier than 8 as you say. It still takes about the same time according to the tracker:
tfl.gov.uk

(journey planner is what you need).

Bus you need to pay for. All tubes and trains are free for runners.

Well done on your run Clare :) sounds like you are better prepared than you thought, but I agree about waiting to finalise your target.

Hi team :) taper begins... Yay!

I will fill out the spreadsheet later when I get home as I can't remember my marathon number. I won't need anything apart from maybe a few jelly babies depending on if I feel like them - thank you!

Popped a can for you 3 weeks ago Stander, you don't mind a few insects floating in it and a spot of mould do you?
