Mine was supposed to be wrist to shoulder but its now tying up with a chest piece i've already got and spreading across my shoulder blade. I better stop before I reach my face!
The worst bit for me is the couple of days afterwards when its scabby and a bit oozy. And then the itching is horrible, i'm not sure if this is the hair growing back(?) because Rach doesn't suffer with the itching as much as I do.

Mr SJ- like the sound of the flower design. My tatts are personal to me. I 1st said I wanted lily of the valley and butterflies wheni I was 15.
Toyed with the idea and where on and off for years, finally got them done as my 40th pressie to self.
I agree re strange rather than painful.
When I had my feet done I jaws advised not to train for 2 weeks. Does this seem the general advice whatever place tatt is in?

Yes it is quite itchy afterwards - but then again we are a bit hairy in Norfolk.

Mine are all torso/arm based, and I have run on the evening of having them done before. I think the biggest risk is knocking the scabs off which then messes the colour up.
I swam 5 days after having the "Just Keep Swimming" life buoy done on the inside of my bicep, and lost all the scabbag. You can see in a few places where it needs touching up. Stupidly I thought a WETsuit would keep me DRY!

I think another thing thats stopped me is the cost involved, altough if im honest i have no idea how much i would be looking at. I gave up work a few years back to be a full time house dad and look after my 3 kids and money is a little tight to say the least. However, im retraining at the moment and plan to be back in work by september and maybe this will be my first paycheque !

Well done on being full time house dad. I have my two all day on Thursday's and i'm usually a jibbering wreck by the time my wife comes home from work!
Depends on who you go to as to how much it costs, but somewhere between £40-£60 per hour is pretty standard round here (Sheffield).

I paid similar Cavey in N Wales.
I knocked a scab off the day after at work and it needs touching up slightly.
Not swimming for 2 weeks isn't a problem but the not running was a pain!! Tho might be ok if Tatt is lower than the band on sports bra.

Bloody hell... £40 - £60 per hour? I pay around £100 - £120 per hour. No wonder I live on dust casserole
