Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Nope, all done remotely. Seems they're doing 1200 schools 'randomly', but we know of several in the local area that have all just been done. Mostly about how COVID is affecting things, how prepared the school is for remote learning, etc.

We had a call from Ofsted during "Lockdown I". They were surprised that our CEO, Academy Principals and Pastoral Leads were all available.

But, of course, that was because schools were open during Lockdown I. Just like they are now.

First bubble went home to isolate today. We hoped we were going to make it to Christmas without any of that shenanigans but no.

That's good going though cyclops.

We're down to 10 cases this week in the whole uni, which is ironic as we're just about to send everyone home. There's a rather confused plan for getting all the students back, which our silver command can have the joy of deciphering.

We have 7 school days left and haven't had a case in school. Everything crossed that it stays that way...

My daughter is at university - they've run out of tests already.

We've currently got our lowest number of children out isolating (other than one class of Year 6) because of suspected cases or contact. I think we've had 8 positive cases in the children (we don't keep records for staff for some reason...). but loads more have had to isolate for family members.

Hoping we can get through the next 11 school days without further outbreaks.

Let's cross everything and hope!

Very pleased there is a vaccine - but it won't be as quick a fix as people seem to think as most teachers are way down the list of priorities for getting it.

There are enough educators on here that I thought it might be nice to have somewhere supportive to rant and problem solve.
