Regardless, they made for an entertaining, educational and quirky deathmatch, and could go well in the long awaited (overdue?) Deathmatch Deathmatch.

Knowing their luck they'll end up going out to Long Haired Weirdos in the first round.

Who are these freaks voting for the red squirrel? It deserves to come last in a Squirrel Deathmatch. The only thing it ought to win is the Evolutionary Dead End Deathmatch, where it could compete against pandas and jays.

Jays are useful on the macro-evolutionary front - otherwise forests wouldn't be able to travel uphill. True fact. Or there's a germ of a true fact in there anyway.

I feel the detractors of the red squirrel (in this round; it's laughably poor compared to cheese) have failed to take into account its resilience in the face of pine marten predation. I'm just one ma, and it's just my opinion, but mark my words, the marten's return is the deathknell for the red's podgy american cousin.

A pine marten is a stoat with an accent yes? I don't like stoats.
