A pal of mine is a pro photographer [police, soco, film & tv] and he explained that photographing the moon was challenging because of the strength f the light source. At this point, I asked for the accompanying notes... In the summer a youngish relative with a flash new phone took a 'point and shoot' picture of the full moon which was simply stunning in it's clarity and detail. The developments in phone camera technology are amazing.
