Actually, yes, like a Stair Master. I had thought that they were something different. This one is called PowerMill. SkillMill sounds hard. I don't think I would do that either.
Thankfully I did not have to do any running as part of this workout, or I would have gone to retrieve my running shoes.

I have fallen in love with the Roman Chair.
For a long time I watched people use it and thought "god, that looks a bit hard!". Then I plucked up the courage to try it and I love it now. I use a couple of 5kg dumbell with it for a bit of extra burn
Soon, I will be able to crack walnuts between my buttocks ;)*
*apologies for that horrible image

Ooh, I had to Google Roman Chair. I don't know if we have one of those but I might give it a go if we do.

I'm in week 3 of doing some of the strengthening routine from this month's RW - some jumps & hops and then a sequence of core moves - by itself it's not quite enough so I have added a few of my favourite other exercises.

Yes, do try it becca. The secret is keeping your spine in alignment without straining it (like sit ups I suppose). Focus on 'squeezing' your glutes as you rise.

Me too - thought at first you meant the Samson's chair - where of course there is no chair

I couldn't see anything that looked exactly like a Roman Chair. There was something similar but it will have to remain in the category of things that look interesting but aren't easy to figure out.
I did a bit of wattbike for a change and then my upper body weights. Quite a pleasing amount of DOMs from yesterday's session.

Massively down on gym in last 10 days. One lovely evening with my sis at dinner, so no Pilates. One less lovely evening neck-cracking with a chiropractor, missed core/strength session. Going to do one tomorrow after work though. Must. Do. G

Great session today. Did a fair bit of stretching with a few yoga positions thrown in too. Upper body weights and some core exercises too. Felt pleasingly tired at the end of it. Have signed up for a yoga session and a tabata fit session next week. Should be fun. I almost don't miss running with all this extra-curricula activity

Foam Roller: Husband's specific exercises do nothing for me, I would need expensive advice to find anything that might help me.
"Strength training" I paid £48 for physio advice, given some brief exercises to do daily to target a very specific single muscle in my back (related to chronic shoulder pain). I have had tendonitis everywhere, which makes me wary of all the formal classes or weights.
Back: To protect this I really need to stand up straight. Reverse bad habits of a lifetime.
Stretching: My son is in the Army; was told by them that stretching before exercise was always bad.
My calves need stretching, though. It's not hell for leather stretching, just enough to reduce the tightness that tends to be there. Little and often all day. Makes me happy & makes my legs feel looser/better, esp. during run. I can feel that I need it & it helps me. I have had no running injuries at all.
