Well done, Joopsy. As hp says, most people wouldn't have taken the time to do what you did.

To be honest it was scary just how many people were not just unwilling to stop but were actually throwing abuse at the poor guy. It was clear to see that he was in need of help.

I always try to stop and help people who have broken down in the vain hope that if it's my wife broken down someone will do the same thing.

I stopped the car the other night, there was a runner lying on the pavement and someone with them, just to check they were OK. They were, I carried on.

When QP and I were last in Glasgow we took our leftover pizza from dinner (of which there was loads) with the intention offering it to a homeless person. We didn't pass a single homeless person en route to the hotel. I approached the lovely young chap who had checked us in and he was just going on his break. He was delighted with pizza for dinner. I do wonder where all the homeless folks disappeared to though.

Today I went for a run in my lunch break. I carried my running shoes to the door and removed them at the door on my return to prevent getting mud all over the carpet and immaculate shower room. The cleaners have enough to do.

Bought hot chocolate and a brownie for the homeless chap today, and stopped to have a little stroke with his dog, who is called Jethro.

Chicken wrap, chocolate shortbread bar and hot chocolate for the homeless guy this evening - thought he might appreciate a change from Leon (and service was quicker). I should get something for his dog.

Let a chap in my team have a couple of days compassionate leave as his wife has been hospitalised and he has a 6mth baby.

Bought lunch for my pal.

I'm going on holiday at the end of the week and so I've bought a few treats for the homeless guy & his dog. And I got him a Costa gift card so he can get hot food.
