Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Gone for my lsr today, wearing factor 30 banana boat, and I have still burnt as I have sweated it off. I did try to stick to the shade but there wasn't much and it was relatively early too.

So, what is the best sport sun cream for pale, easy burn people like me?

P20 works pretty well for me. Very water, and therefore sweat, resistant

Do you put enough on? I smother myself in it so I go completely white :-0

Yes, I look daft but not as daft as I'd look as a lobster!

I use Avene or La Roche Posay Anthelios XL factor 50+. If you burn easily I'd even suggest that factor 30 isn't enough. I've used both of these in the Alps in the summer and haven't burnt.

I do put a lot on - maybe more is needed, it is a clear one though, so the white doesn't work. I used a liz earle one on Saturday and I looked like a goth when I left home and it just came off! It isn't a sports one, so maybe was being optimistic.

I will try factor 50 and look out for avene and P20 - thanks!

I just steal the kids suncream :-)

It's high factor, and I figure if it is designed to stick on active little ones who make no allowances for it, then it'll stay on me :-)

As well as preventing burning it shouldn't sweat off into your eyes. Bad memories of running a race into the sun with eyes closed due to pain caused by unsuitable suncream. As a result I just don't put any cream on my forehead!

P20 works, but is greasy and turns your clothes a bit yellow.
Banananana Boat Ultra Mist is great, but a bit expensive.Best for no eye sting. Tastes horrid when it gets in your mouth.
Ultrasun(?) very nice, but not sure how long it lasts. Has done me for a couple of hours on the bike though.

Currently trying the new 'clear' Nivea stuff, which smells like Bananana Boat ultramist and seems to work well.
