Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Bit of a mockery also that you can not complete the course and still be in the results.

Yes, I am surprised she's not been removed, even if that might seem a trivially token gesture. A self declaration that you probably left and reentered the course at different points should be enough for that.

There is another issue (let's not go there...) around placements in running events, and it does feel like there is an attitude that only the podium places count, everything else is just "also-ran" so gets less importance.

Fastest ever Milan - San Remo yesterday beating Giani Bugno’s long standing record. Bugno only got done for caffeine iirc so nothing to worry about here

Would 6k on that kind of distance make a significant change to the average speed?

There was a tailwind for the majority of the race but that must have happened before surely?

It would to me 😂 I'm assuming not starting in the centre of Milan would make the route quicker as not a load of city twisty turny roads?

The persistent fatal flaw with using times to evaluate cycling doping. Wind, temperature, state of the race, etc. all confound a simple analysis.
