It was manky rain for Musselburgh in 2017, remember everyone standing under the tree for shelter before we started. Here’s hoping the forecast is right and it’ll stop just before we start running. Ice cream in the rain with soggy feet doesn’t exactly fill me with joy.

The one and only time I have done it (2015 I think) it was blowing an absolute gale.

Normally the Musselburgh course is fine in road shoes. However much is either on gravel paths or grass, so something with more grip might be helpful given today’s weather.

20 miles in the rain using the zoom fly this morning, performed well but I was road all the way.

These have a good few runs in them, good response feeling for most of the run.

Hope 10k goes well, was baking hot the only time I ran, ice cream was most welcome.

Just a little bit wet at Musselburgh today 😂never been so glad to get home for a nice hot shower. Really enjoyed it despite the weather and very pleased to manage it under an hour too.

Next up.....meadows mile relays on Wed!

Well done Baz! I’m only just round the corner, so should have come to watch but the weather put me off.

Will see you on Wednesday, Zee! Anyone else doing the Meadows relays?

Still haven’t got a team, so if anyone fancies pairing up with me would be great.
