Walked some of the route yesterday evening and some more (Tor Wood) a fortnight ago. Interesting - not that I'll be entering. Quite a lot of scope for getting lost.

Doing Golspie 10k in September if anyone else usually does it. Bit of a pain its a Saturday as I will be doing Alness parkrun first but the 10k doesn't start till 2pm

Spotted on Facebook that Oriam are looking to set up a parkrun in the grounds of Heriot Watt Uni Edinburgh (no dates given). I was only thinking yesterday how odd it was that Edinburgh has only 2 parkruns compared to the dozen in Glasgow.

The difference is largely political will Duchess. Though Glasgow parks are also better designed for a 5k course.

Weeel ... looking at the map of Edinburgh, there are big swatches of greenspace. Looking closer, they are nearly all golf courses. Some of the other bits have a road making them unsuitable. Six laps of Fairmilehead Park, anyone?

Btw could you name me that dozen in Glasgow, Duchess ;-) ?

I thought the word half was missing from that dozen statement Dvorak. 😉
