57.5 Degrees of Pain
No Inverness for me this year, taking in the delights of Balloch to Clydebank instead.

Found out yesterday that there is a three-race evening trail series happening just up the road from me (outside Denny). Added the races to listings. Thursday evenings, 7pm. Info on the FB here: facebook.com There is a course video as well (races are two, three or four laps): There are nice paths through the woods, and some narrow bumpy ones I don't like: the route takes in both. And a "narrow bridge", which looks rather like a plank of wood to me. Dates are 19.4, 28.5, 24.6; maybe see some of you there (although I am more likely to be spectating). |

Inverness was cracking. I already said I want to go back and do it next year. A fantastic course, perfect weather, brilliant weekend away and a brand new PB for me, knocked 16 seconds off my Glasgow time. So well done to whoever was crazy enough to bet on me 😂

I love Inverness Half, glad you saw some good weather princesszee. I think I've run in everything but sunshine over the years. Didn't enter this year and was glad yesterday when my calf was tight and the rain pouring down. Not so sure today as the calf managed 18 miles and the weather was great! |

Instead I am doing Balloch to Clydebank. Anyone got any comments on that race?

It has a finish unmatched by almost any other race.* * except the Clydebank 10K, which was the same finish, but further. |

Wasn’t keen on the 12:30 start as made pre race fuelling tricky but meant a wee lie in.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Balloch to Clydebank is a horrible run according to my wife, matched only by the Monklands half.
