Duchess, Canal path was actually brilliant as the hard packed snow was wider than the path usually is giving more space. Oh and the canal was frozen solid so in case of accident you wouldnt get wet !

Edinburgh north peeps. Dalmeny is a go. The farmers have cleared he main roads in the estate. It’s firm packed thin snow. First half mile may be icy. I’m wearing micro spikes so can’t tell.

Aberdeen beach was a challenge - not from the snow just the sideways wind.

Ha ha ha. No I didn’t. All joking aside you could do intervals in front of the house. You’d just need to get that far!

Back of airport road perfectly cleared and almost traffic free on a sunday morning. All hail edinburgh airport freight peoples.
Shame it was blowing a gale and I was about a minute faster for the westwards reps than the eastwards ones.

Couldn’t work out where to go that wasn’t slippy/slushy/icy in Edinburgh so did 18miles on a treadmill. Not my best idea ever but it was either that or up and down my street and that’s a hill!

Good work princesszee, I’d have been tempted to use a treadmill too if I had access to one this week! My route this morning had to adopt three loops to avoid the worst of the ice, slush and snow today. Not sure what was more challenging - the impact of the snowy sections on my legs, or the mental challenge of running past my house at the end of lap 1 and 2!

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Nairn 10k was bracing, but not bad running conditions. Also got in some proper snow running with the dog before the race, Fochabers had caught a lot more white stuff than we got further west.
