Will be my first time around it HG, it's good to have the choice within a short drive. Dunfermline, Loch Leven, Lochore, Edinburgh, Falkirk and Kirkcaldy. Car sharing wth clubmates for environmental friendliness

Nice bacon rolls in the Loch Leven Larder next to the Parkrun SOAPM.

I'm pondering on a parkrun for Saturday. Theoretically I should be as near to a peak as I get these days, and on for a relatively fast one - but I fear reality will not match up. So whilst I might fancy Linwood, in reality I may do Dunfermline for a change. Or Lochore. Or Loch Leven. Or I have only run Edinburgh once in five years. (Checks wind forecast - crosses off Edinburgh.)
Can't be Strathclyde, Livingston or Perth as I have been all these ways in the last week.
Overdue a return to Kirkcaldy as well, but I'd have to get up earlier. Also LL is my NENYD and is closer. Or Plean, before too muddy.
It was easier when there were only four to choose from ;-).

I was confusing Lochore and Loch Leven Soapy. Loch Leven is actually also 3 x a hill, just not as steep as Dunfermline. Whereas Lochore is of course a pancake. Kirkcaldy is quick too. They're all my nearest! G

So Loch Leven Parkrun was good. The path is a sort of gravel all the way around. The stiff breeze off the Loch was bracing, that will be fun in the winter. Non- runners can skulk in the very nice cafe and little ones can play on the toys just outside it . Very family-friendly.

Possible LL for me next week then. Ran Springburn as Dunfermline had pacers and Edinburgh was to be windy (offshore force 5-7, gusting 8 - not a day for the coast!)

Has anyone done the Mens 10k (Edinburgh flavour) ? Thinking of aiming for that as a comeback race

Haven't done that one Bazo.
Pacing Dunfermline would be tricky as it's so up and down. I've paced at Cramond twice and brought my group home on the mark. I think Carnegie were asked to provide pacers to Dunfermline but we couldn't get enough volunteers

I was looking at the men’s 10k as well but decided on the MoRun 10k in Glasgow Green.
I believe the Edinburgh course is fast starting on the royal mile and finishing in Murrayfield.
Just didn’t fancy travelling through when I can do the more local one and kid can run the 1.5k before it.
