Ooh, sorry, no insight Angus. One of the Porty Fetchies will be able to help, I'm sure. G

Boing for Angus C's question, which I've just put on to previous page. (Soz!) which was recommendation for Porty/Joppa fish n chipper - Leith to Gullane. I've just thought of a city one I like, but poss too far in for you - L'Alba D'Oro on Henderson Row https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/L'Alba+D'Oro/@55.9604718,-3.2013802,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x5c255475dd059a01?sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiLuePhtZfVAhVjFMAKHcqxCYoQ_BIIfTAM |

Thanks :-)G, that'll tie in nicely with a trip to the Botanic Gardens, which is on the cards for tomorrow. Nice one! 👍

Anyone doing Musselburgh on Saturday? Last time I did it was 2012 but I remember it being quite a flat course. (I'm going with that in my head anyway haha)

I am not doing Musselburgh, but I did about 2-3 years ago. It is very flat, but there is quite a lot on grass and as its on the coast the wind can be a factor. Wind was a huge factor on the day that I did it with about a 90s impact on times. There are also a few narrow sections that made it tricky. However, you get an ice cream at the finish which is a perfect reward |

We headed through to Livingston parkrun for our first time yesterday. What a lovely course. Nice trails with lots of twists & turns and ups & downs. A few of the steeper uphills were hard work with my ever increasing buggy & passenger. However one of the most enjoyable yet, Isla was happily signing and talking all the way round and loved a change of scenery. Despite some heavy showers on the way through it was relatively dry for the run. That's 13 Scottish parkrun's done now, getting closer to halfway (before any more come on board), would like to tick off Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy soon. 10 to go till the big 💯 |

Never made it to the Botanic Gardens in the end, so L'Alba D'Oro is still on the TBD list. However, if you're ever in Porty at tea-time, I can thoroughly recommend the St Andrews restaurant (and Chippy Chips) on the main street. Lovely menu mix of Italian food and standard chipper grub. I had fish supper, it was Ace! MrsC had a pasta fish thing and said it was lovely too. |

Good shout Angus, thanks. Sjjh - Kirkcaldy will be ideal for you and buggy. I was there this Saturday for first time. Lovely park, lovely route, tarmac all the way and mostly wide, except for a loop round duck pond. But as that is half way through things have thinned out by then. I mentioned you to a top 10 Livingston parkrunner with a buggy a couple weeks ago. Don't know if you had a ding dong race with anyone else with a buggy up the sharp end?! Anyone doing Donkey Brae on Sunday. A few from Harmeny going across. G |

There was one other buggy runner there on Saturday but he was a bit ahead of me and I couldn't go with it. His non buggy PB of 17:36 (O Williams) was a bit beyond me on Saturday, first buggy defeat in 44 lol. The top 10 runner from the week before would have probably been a close race between us. Definitely heading to Kirkcaldy soon then. |
