Eh? It's slower than the Airport Express bus, but it does get there.

.....or anywhere that the main houses are situated and where the buses run

I have never set foot on a tram and don't ever intend to

It's a bit unfair to criticise the trams for not going everywhere you might want to go. They go where the tracks go. I am sure there are some places that buses don't go. A new station is being built at Maybury so that trains from the North and Fife will interchange with the trams to the Airport, and you don't have to go all the way to Haymarket.

It gets from the city centre to my office, and faster than the 22 bus.

But the tracks go on a route that most people don't live or is a further walk away than the nearest bus stop.

Ive got a bus stop 20 yards away that gets me to town (and other places) or the airport, but would have to walk 0.6 miles (I know cos Ive garmined it) to the nearest tram stop for a journey that would take longer !

Oh, and the trams cause havoc with my cycle commute as they get priority at lights

Agree that for people working at the gyle its a good option, but for most others the bus remains a better way of travelling

Has anybody been to see the Oor Wullies in Dundee? oorwulliebuckettrail.com I saw the Owls in Birmingham last year and seeing a few of those was a nice route for a run. Dundee's a bit further though and if I'm heading back to Scotland it really ought to be to finish off the Fife Coastal Path.
