There has always been an EC charge but usually the races have paid it (it was indicated in the small print) but several races at least last year (pretty sure Stirling 10k was one) had the charge added as an extra to the race entry fee. Which is a bit swizzy, I feel, like concert ticket booking fees, but perhaps there is some technical reason eg VAT for doing it this way?

Ok cool. Thank you. It's the Grangemouth 10k which I've never entered before. I'll go ahead and enter now

Son of a Pronator Man
Every year I have organised the Gartmorn 6, the runner paid the fee. If you were doing postal entry you'd have to buy your own stamp and envelope etc.

I'd rather pay 60p than have to try and find a cheque book

Lol katypie! I don't mind paying the extra, just hadn't ever noticed it before so it's probably just been included in the price I've paid anyways. I have now entered Grangemouth, am 18th on waiting list for Devilla now looking for some others. Yay for Christmas money!

Grangemouth 10K You'll love it. People rave about the scenery.

How did you go at Vicky Park 57.5° oP? I was there too and tried to pick you out by looking for clues like a club vest or similar as your avatar is a bit small to recognise you from. My best guess was an Aberdeen HHH T-shirt but wasn't sure. Think I finished 6th with 18:08 (watch time). Had hoped to be faster but not to be despite the good conditions.
Not that it held me up but I imagine the section of crazing paving could be a bit tight at times when passing through the field. Enjoyed it though.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
That was me indeed Andy B. Had to rush off to see an old friend so didn't get time to socialize. Nice run, but as you say I think we were lucky that the worst bottleneck of slower runners was not on the crazy paving. Still fancy Strathclyde is faster, though I did measure today's course a bit short.
