The café is about 100 yards away from the park entrance judging by the map.

It's not a walk from Portobello Park (parkrun) to Holyrood Park (XC) though - 3 ish miles and uphillish. 1 hour plus?
As before, I can offer lifts to 2 or 3 small people. I will be going straight after parkrun, not hanging about in café. And unlike Dvorak, I will be mostly outside to watch XC, and dip into pub briefly to defrost! (Actually forecast is 9C, so won't even be cold.) G

the after park run cafe is just across the road, I've not measured the distance but likely Duchess's map reading is correct
be prepared for their relaxed service speeds ...

We are well used to relaxed service. I think there has even been an occasion when the results came through before everyone had got served!

Not having this on my watch list as I thought I had would explain it seeming so quiet Soapy for around 40 years there was a princess Street I'm Embra (well I'm my head there was) Dvorak I am just assuming you have figured out our logistics. I would prefer to not have to drive around city centre mind.

I think you might be a bit too tall for the soft-play area, Soapie
