Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've entered the Edinburgh Great Christmas Run on Sunday, a squiggly but flat 10K in Inverleith Park and around (but not in) the Botanics. Entries still open and weather forecast decent. fetcheveryone.com/races/edinburgh-christmas-10k-10358995

It's one that seems to completely pass Fetchies by (including me, though I have looked at it before). Is it the name and the fact it's an events company rather than, say, a club? I did look at the results and the video, and it does seem to be a "proper" run rather than a Santa Dash Fun Run (despite a few Santa hats).

Be warned, it’s not as flat as it seems there, depending on the actual route.

I've got a great excuse to not have to do XC again - I'm no longer a member of a SA club😄.

After nearly 10 years away from Edinburgh, I've finally not renewed my Harmeny membership this year - I've not attended a training session since I left. No more feeling guilty when the email goes out pleading for runners to make up the teams

Any future road/ultra races will be under the Lochtayside name/vest - our wee local club that is unaffiliated

It's not? Gently tilted, perhaps? My home parkrun is Falkirk, so most races* seem flat compared to that.

"Even if that doesn't necessarily hold true for parkruns.

I can imagine quite a few. Full day of entertainment in the town too so we are making a weekend of it.

Kilted parkrun at Crathes Castle tomorrow. My tartan tights haven't arrived, never mind. Going to be a busy one.
