Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thanks for feedback everyone - if I've understood all the replies, then sounds like it used to be more of a traditional race with some fund raising, but is now very much a fund raising event first and foremost.
The entry fee is £22. I've no idea how much of this is to cover costs and how much would go to the Hospice. The do have prizes, but they are sponsored, and they're appealing for volunteers, but there will be other fixed costs to come out of entry fees - portaloos, t-shirts, timing, etc, etc.
I think I'd feel guilty not raising any extra, so even though they'll probably miss out on £5-£10 of my entry fee, maybe better if I don't enter.

Did Faskally today. Quite enjoyed it. Just a hellish road trip from Aberdeen on winding roads which made me realise I’m not good with them 🤢🤢

Oh no sorry to have missed you! I didn’t even think to take fetch colours I must say. I saw a couple of dogs- is yours a black spaniel?

Ours is the liver and white spaniel thing that gets over-excited at the start. I hung right back out of the briefing with him today to stop him being a toerag during the minutes silence! The Duckinator will have lapped us, looking at times. We took the first two miles at a run-walk, the Slow decided to stop (calf troubles) and I did a fast last lap but didn't catch up to your time.

Glad you enjoyed it. It's a lovely parkrun (though I havent done any others really so I cant compare!). We do have some fab marshals. :-)
