Thanks. I'm not sure I'd run it again but I might change my mind if there are no other races on! I bet it would fill up very quickly though.

You could have Speyside on the 14th MrsS?

Are entries available IanS? In the website it says 22nd August and I can't see anything about rescheduling or entries.

Actually just spotted their update on their fb page. I wish they would use their website, I'm not looking at fb as much, trying to avoid it really.

From Speyside FB page :

"Hello all! Just an update after having several requests about the postponed date for the race. We have put forward Saturday the 14th November to the Forestry Commission and would love your participation!

Due to the nature of the course and the race holding a small number of runners, we don't foresee any issues holding the race in November providing government guidance allows it. As a minimum it might give you motivation and excitement to train for some light at the end of the tunnel! The trees will be all sorts of colours by then and the temperatures will be cooler, so it could be the best year yet!

More information to follow, but please keep that date free and get the miles run, in the hopes we get the all clear to hold the Speyside Way Ultra in 2020. Once we can provide certainty then we will communicate and reopen the entry list. Failing that, we hope you all stay safe and healthy.

Thank you again for all the support,
Kyle"

Don't think you'd need to worry about over-heating on Speyside in November :-)

I'll remind you of that in November when it's a freak 20°C, Ian ;-)

The one and only time I've done Speyside was in 2010 so probably overdue another go 😊

Alloa HM cancelled and 4 options:

1) Run a virtual race and get tshirt and medal
2) Defer to 2021
3) Partial refund of £14 and get tshirt and medal
4) full refund (cant recall what I paid.)

Think I will probably defer, but not sure which option is best for future race viability
