Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yep. Still limping when walking TR. Last run was when it went on 9th March. :-(

More gym for rehab this morning then physio and hope for a miracle.

Due to get colder here again after tomorrow.

LMH - fingers crossed for something positive from the physio!

TR - no replacement, which I'm more than happy about. You've certainly come a long way in a short period - 5 weeks of 50m+ from where you were is great!

The weather here is supposed to settle to mid-teens for the next week which will be appreciated as I'm feeling the cold far too much!

TT - You must be pretty slim now. Was the medication suppressing appetite?
TR - Those 3000 mile years are still in your legs. See how things go. Good to see you back up to 60 mpw+.
Riggsy - I thought that was tge case a good call.
Ger - Good luck on Sunday. Last minute tip: Inhale Vick sinex just before the bang for the race.

10m today, 5m easy and 5m effort (6.12 mm average) in the wind and rain. Not too many efforts left to do now before I start tapering next week. Long run tomorrow to bring up 85m for the week- a 15 year record for me. Feeling a bit bushed.

Cracking pace for there @OuchOuch You must’ve been out earlier than me. I waited til the rain had blown through. Ran from Wadebridge out towards Bodmin for 8.4M@8:04 average.

LMH - wow. The last test run was a while ago then.

TT - no need is good.......I hurt myself 11 weeks ago, after the initial stopping for a while it went something like 13, 23, 31, 38 then the 50s and 60s.

Ouchie - top miles and pace. 5m at sub 1.22 pace bodes well. You are in top shape after again some niggly months at the end of last year.

Forest - shame the hit date never happened.

Bike hill reps for me today, 9th week of this, wasn't frosty this week so much nicer. The rep road is near me on a local dog walking route, lots of the dog walkers and folks coming out of the drives of a morning all wave to me now.........last week a guy saud to me he s seen me riding up and down this hill for months and I have his respect.

That wasn't a test run TR - that was the day my calf seized. I haven't been able to walk without limping since never mind try to run.

I now have calf strengthening exercises to add to my list of rehab. After todays not so tender ministrations I can almost walk without limping so hoping to be able to at least start walking for stress relief by Sunday.

Nope. I was up to ten miles and set off for a run which was unexpectedly curtailed just after three and a half miles.

Oh yes, how many weeks since the hammy started playing up ? You were a couple of weeks after me? Good job you didn't enter London. I think I'd already paid mine by the time I had to stop.

TR - Touching wood, yes I am far fitter compared to this time 12 months ago, when I was missing weeks of training and when running doing c20-30 mpw with a sore achilles/ ankle. Your bike fitness will all help. Tempted by London now your building well, I'd be.

Jooligan - Good call on the timing and you choose a nice route, ou wisely waited until the rain went and choose a nice route, well protected from the elements. Llanhydrock or the faster Eden PR? Good luck either way.

LMH - Hope it's not too long too wait until your able to start to run again.

About This Thread

Hi

Fetch has said us RW refugees can relocate here. I know there are existing sub3 and 3.15 threads, but the fetch threads seem to be for more infrequent posters. The RW threads are more of a daily diary.

We'll see how it goes.

I'm a M57 hanging on to sub3. I'm unattached harriers so like a place to talk a bit of running and find some inspiration and accountability.
