Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Only thing I have entered is Ashby 20 FJ.

Hope Mrs DT had a good night and is continuing to improve.

Sorry to hear you've aggravated your knee OO61.

Hope the weather doesn't make conditions too bad OuchOuch.

When is your first race Gerard?

Gym first for me then I'm not sure if I'll get out today looking at the forecast - feels like 0C, rain and wind gusting over 30mph will be an unpleasant combination and I don't know if my willpower is up to it. Tomorrow we are forecast winds gusting over 50mph but I'm at work so don't have to feel bad about my lack of motivation.

CBA today. Went to the gym. Drove through a very heavy shower on the way home and it's been raining on and off ever since, it's cold (still only feels like 2C) and windy and I just cannot motivate myself out.

5k lunch run with an old running buddy who has just rejoined the firm I worked for. As soon as we left the heavens opened up. Absolutely torrential and very wind. Ran up a steep hill to avoid the sea front. It was brutal but nice little catch up. Swim and spa later.

TR: I can safely say no Bolshoi for me. I am so poorly co-ordinated it's embarrassing!

Glad to hear MrsDT is doing well.

I hear you on the lack of mojo in poor weather, LMH. I don't mind the cold as much, but when it's super windy, I know every step of a run is going to feel like hard work.

Well done on the race, Gerard, and, umm, well done getting to a loo in time! I hope you've dried out now. The spa sounds well deserved after braving the elements.

6 miles for me today. I was a bit achy after the s&c yesterday, but at least the weather was relatively OK. It looks like Bristol will miss out on the worst of tomorrow's forecast. Good luck to those who won't be so fortunate!

I'm really struggling with the cold this year Joolska and when it's also wet and windy more so. Usually succeed in getting myself out but I think going to the gym used my motivation/willpower. Hope the run helped ease the aches.

Ouch - hope the weather is kind, tomorrow is going to be tough.

Riggsy - think it was me that called it a breakfast.........mixing all those meals sounds awful to me, I can't eat like that.

Gerard - you are getting the monies worth so far.

LMH - you have plenty of time yet. Esp given a couple of recent 18milers.

Jools.. well done getting out for 6m. I think we should escape the worst of the storm here too. However I have pushed our wheelie bins into a more sheltered spot and anchored down the bird table!

LMH.. not my favourite weather either. We only got a few light showers this afternoon but tomorrow looks rough.

Riggys.. getting through a hill session is a good confidence boost for you.

OO61.. re. V40's.. I read elsewhere that the Bath half organisers have changed their qualifying times to very elite - sub 68 for a V40! I can't imagine many V40's in the country can achieve that.

2 x 4.5m today, I did get out this morning as weather not too bad. Treadie this evening as waiting for a parcel.

Evening all

Nice use of the swimming pool and spa after your wet run Gerard

Nice double wardi.

A good 6 miles Jools hopefully helped any soreness ease after your S+C

Sorry you couldn’t get out LMH especially if you’re working on Friday. Hopefully the gym was good.

10 miles for me tonight legs fine after yesterday hill session. Physio exercises before bed this morning.

Hi

Fetch has said us RW refugees can relocate here. I know there are existing sub3 and 3.15 threads, but the fetch threads seem to be for more infrequent posters. The RW threads are more of a daily diary.

We'll see how it goes.

I'm a M57 hanging on to sub3. I'm unattached harriers so like a place to talk a bit of running and find some inspiration and accountability.
