Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Quite incredible DoricQ. Even in the boom road racing years of the 80's it was unusual to find a 5k race. 10k was the usual event for short distance with occasional 8 and 10 miles.
No harm in trying a full on sprint now and again Pam runs....now you know your limit to use constructivly!
3.3 miles in unpleasant weather this morning utilising usual gym boss plod.

@steve45 I don't think what I'm doing is actually being very constructive. I managed another 3 mile today yet again slower.

I'm actually thinking my Garmin is lying to me about how slow I'm running. 🫣🤔

If things ain't working...change what you do!
(I'm a prime candidate for sticking to a routine that isn't producing the goods!🤣) Another 2.2 this morning at roughly the same effort. I'm waiting until temperatures rise and then make some changes.

You're doing something right Pam! Brilliant effort after you wondering about how constructive your workouts were!
I took a tumble when on my 5k outing yesterday, luckily I was with torey and I didn't injure myself badly. Sore hip and shoulder didn't stop me going out this morning. 3.6 with gym/boss. Still struggling to run for long but what the heck!

Ouch! Glad you didn’t injure yourself badly @steve45

I did a steady 30:30 at club run on Tuesday. Last night was a short intervals session, 5 min warm up then 30 secs fast/30 secs recovery. I ran the recoveries at easy pace rather than walking.

Tonight’s club run will probably be another 30:30 run/walk, depending on who I run with.

@steve45 hopefully you aren't too sore today and managed your run without any more trips.

You're training well lin50. Wish I could do 30 seconds fast but even if I could I'd need a longer recovery to level out HR again.
Still aching and sore when I lie down Pam but run/walking is ok thanks. Although the chill out there is lasting too long!
5k again this morning with torey (wife) who is nursing an ongoing issue in her leg .

Supposed to do 3 mile again today, didn't feel like it but went anyway. Shuffled for 2 mile then just had enough and walked mile back.

No real reason why I stopped. 🙈
