Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

And a huge well done on that big distance lin50. Your marathon training has been well disciplined and committed.
Excellent 10k GlennR.
But of a nuisance that my sore hip has returned so I'm not using it today. Pity, the conditions are perfect out there.

Slightly better hip today thanks GlennR but still just a very short distance, 1.5 miles with random run/walk. Great morning out there though.

morning

yesterday I did run walk to work 30:30 then home again which is the first time I have done that both ways since Feb!

Loved it

Doing the cadence drills as per Glenn's suggestion of following the Garmin plan and it really does feel odd and stupid but I'm doing it

I am doing 2-3 months of solid base/strength work until I hit the longer stuff building up to Chester in October

Great news on your return to form EPix.
Used my Garmin to measure kilometres instead of miles this morning (my Suunto doesn't do metric!) on a 30/20 effort over 3k.
I'm not fussed on any "tech"plan but can see the attraction.

thanks Steve it's a slow process and I am still a lot slower than I was but getting there
the fact that I attempted run walk both ways was progress in itself even if I am a long way off running each way

Slow process is wise! It's often when we rush re training that some injury or other crops up.

thanks Steve

Proper Chester training doesn't start for a couple of month so it's all good base training!
