England got through by being the best in the group they were drawn in, Scotland weren't one of the best 2 int he group they were in. Literally "the luck of the draw" (although the way the pools were decided has been thrashed out previously). I don't see us (England) getting much further though. As I understand it we get Fiji in the QFs? I think that's going to be the end of things for us but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Nellers Oct 2023 9:27pm, 7 Oct 2023 41,327 posts	0 Nellers My simplistic view of England so far is that when we're playing a weaker team we can roll them but if anyone puts up much of a fight we struggle. I think Fiji are a little bit better than Samoa and on that basis will put up a bit more of a fight, and that's all it'll take. We'll fold. We'll make daft mistakes and hand the initiative to them, and if they keep their heads we won't be able to come back from it. (NB: I know very little about the finer poitnts of the game and might be talking bo110x)
