Sigh
Regarding your time, well, here's the route:

fetcheveryone.com/route-1802463

If you intend to run the whole thing (rather than just the 11 timed stages), then think of it as a hilly 15 mile course. If you intend to just run the timed bits and walk the gaps, it's harder to predict a time anyway! Like the others, my plan is to just enjoy it.

Thanks Sigh and Fizz.

Looking forward to this - first race since March last year. It’ll be good to be back.

Received an email this morning about collection of race numbers from the 'MyRaceKit' shop near to Endcliffe Park.

Ok, fair enough, as it says that they can be collected on "Race Day". Race day for me is Sunday. Same email states the shop is closed on Sundays ... !

(Anyone have any idea what the score is with this?)

@Weath, just collect at the start on race day, that's what I'll do. You have to collect your timing thing on the day anyway, it's all well organised.

Thanks Sigh. It's just that isn't really suggested as an option in the email, although I can't see why not.

Probably just how I've read and interpreted the email to be honest. Busy morning and only just skim read it.

Question for those who have done this before - how did you record it with your garmin? Did you have it as one continuous event or did you record the stages and not bother with the interim bits?

Fizz :-)
I recorded it as a single run, although I tried to lap it on the interim bits. Didn’t fully succeed. (Recorded length 14.65m)

WW also tried to lap his for the interim bits, but didn’t fully succeed there either and ended up pausing in the interims. (Recorded length 11.41m)

The results give you all the splits, as well as the running and elapsed times.

Good question Minardi - I’d been pondering the same. I’d decided to just let the Garmin record the total distance as I thought that I’d probably make a mess of stopping and starting so many times.
