Sounds like you have a great chance of sub 4 then, good luck. You won't find a flatter marathon. A local tip is not to overtake on the beach bit unless you are very sure the ground is firm, I have seen people try that and lose a shoe, never to be seen again

Thankfully the stretches are short; I can imagine plenty of people walking them, especially on the way back. You hardly lose time and it might actually be a helpful breather!

I will be doing a final LSR tomorrow to see if I will run the mara or not, will run some of the course and report back.
