Yes she did, she was prescribed some Dermovate ointment, which slowly cleared it up.

Yes. I've seen it loads of times. It's harmless, it goes away by itself in about 6-8 weeks, and it's OK to put a spot of hydrocortisone on it if it's itchy, though it usually isn't all that bad. It's probably viral, but you're not an infection hazard.

Thanks V'rap, luckily it's not that itchy, but have used the hydrocortisone a couple of times. Just hope it doesn't get any worse - some of the pictures on google are quite scary!!
