I know its amazing to see so many other runners on the streets (I assume thats partly cause the sun is shining) but Green Park/Picadilly was fab at lunchtime - couldnt do my usual embankment route though as too many people out to watch the flame go by, but hey ho :)

The negative people atelier starting to annoy me, it's here and we should embrace it, it's going to be great!

It's quite refreshing to be forced by all the temporary road closures and events to run in different places. I never usually run down Whitehall for example.

I'm with you Harrier. Seems slightly churlish not to enjoy all this top quality sport and accompanying good humour on our doorstep.

I can't wait for the Olympics to actually get going (no offence to the football...). I just need to work out my viewing schedule :-)

There has been far too much negativity, some of the people I've come across are praying for cock ups :-(

I heard someone in my office on the phone earlier, obviously being asked about the Olympics, saying "Oh god no, everyone here is dreading it. The transport is going to be horrendous, you just know it's going to be a disaster...." blah blah blah. And I thought - err, speak for yourself you old misery! I'm excited :-)

Basketball for me tomorrow afternoon, nice to have an early wander around the Olympic park.

Could be travelling straight up to London from a bit of Parkrun marshalling :)

I would imagine all the moaners are going to become the biggest Olympic fans once we start winning medals
