Had my eyebrows tinted - and threaded - in honour of Eldest Son's forthcoming wedding.

The other Not Entirely Mundane thing that's happened to me today is that AT LAST the monster stack of branches (cut off a tree, at neighbour's request and left in my garden) has been collected up and taken away.

For a while I've emptied change into various pots and mugs as I don't like carrying lots of stuff in my pockets. I eventually got around to bagging up all my 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 & 50 pence coins today. I have the grand total of £62 with several pounds which didn't make up full bag values. I've no doubt that the bank will be really thrilled with me when I take them in!

They probably didn't bat an eyelid, Eynsham. (Did they?)

The hard work was getting the coins bagged up Columbia, but the harder job is being motivated enough to make the effort to get to a bank as I don't work anywhere near one and our local post office is closed by the time I get home 🙁

ER - you don't need to bag up in our bank anymore - there's a machine that you just pour the money into and it counts it and gives you a ticket to take to the cashier. It's fabulous (but I do miss counting up my pennies)

My parish priest has one of those machines, - very useful, as I am technically in charge of counting up the money that is collected in various charity boxes, but he not only does the counting but then changes it up into larger denominations so I don't have to take bags and bags of coins to deposit at the bank. However, he says he'll have to get a new machine, as it won't recognise the new coins that are beginning to appear. Though apparently it can cope with the new £1 coins.
