Struggling, to be honest. Problems with top of hamstring recently. Cut down runs to just one a week now to give it as much rest as possible. Got to do 22 miles on Sunday which I am kind of dreading. Looking forward to the week I am spending in NY but want to enjoy the marathon part of it as well but I fear it's going to be 4 hours of slog! I've booked the bus tour of the route so that should be interesting!

Well, I got through my 22 miles without aggravating anything. It was tough though. I'm not as fit at this stage as I have been for my last few marathons. Mind you, my last long run for each has been a real dog of a run and the race itself seems to go better. Just an 18 and 15 mile run to go!

Tribeca? That's in the Financial District isnt it? I'm staying in New Jersey, just across the Hudson from Manhattan. I'm wondering how to get to my bus pick up point at Meadowlands on the Sunday morning. I may have to book a taxi.

I think Meadowlands is about 4 miles from the hotel. It's where the NY Giants play. I was hoping to take in an American Football match while I was out there but the Giants are away and the Jets game is in the afternoon so too early to get to after the marathon. There's always basketball or ice hockey, I suppose.

Boing for any NY marathoners. With all the long runs out of the way I now have time to prepare a 'paranoia list' of all the things that may go wrong over the next two weeks!

Next Wednesday evening. I heard talk of a BA strike the other day. That's on the list as well! When are you leaving?
