wte101, perhaps? It's like the wt101, except it has a UK-specific lugged sole, I guess to appeal to fell runners.

Inov-8 as a option? I tried NB and Inov-8 and found I preferred the grippy soles on the Inov-8

Think i have just about every trail/fell shoe now lol but i'm currently using Mizzuno Wave harriers for trail and pure fell. Most impressed . (and there are only £30-00 at start fitness right now)

I finally nuked my NB 749s last week after a year of abuse. They saw me through hill races and training, beach and sea running, trails, snow, ice, roads. Felt quite soft for a trail-shoe (and they are a support shoe too) but they lasted well. Still available from certain places

In fact, after the Black Rock 5 race they were chucked out. A late decision to enter the Dumyat Hill Race meant I had to retrieve them from the wheely bin for their final outing. [IMAGE]

Thanks for the info everyone! I've tried and tried inov8's, followed elBee's advice and had a couple of different sizes from him and different ways of lacing, etc. They just knacker my feet every time I use them. NB's never do so I'll search the magic numbers and find a pair
