Hi Is there one?
Just read The Ocean At The End Of The Lane. Just such a lovely book.
I know Scribbler is a big fan. And on Pratchett threads lots of Gaiman fans too. G

Sign me up Happy. Big fan of his from the Sandman days - think I still have most of them including #1.

Maclennane
Loved American Gods, the book far more than the series, though that did make me think differently about it, his Norse Mythology is fantastic, and of course Good Omens. Liked Sandman on't telly.

Haven't read any graphic novels of Gaiman (or anyone else - well not since Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan as a kid!) Will have to investigate.
A couple more novels still to enjoy, according to his bibliography. G

I yes, all of above Maclennane. Is Stardust a good read? Love the movie. G

Hmm. I've read all of his novels, none of the graphic novels. Quick look on the bookshelves, can't see any of them. Which suggests that either they've been filed somewhere other than Fiction- Authors G, or that they've been borrowed by oldest son.

I've always thought I should like him and ought to like him, but I don't. I'm the same with Pratchett.

Ignoring Good Omens, which I read when I was more into Pratchett, Anansi Boys was what got me into Gaiman's novels, though I was already familiar with the BBC's Neverwhere and the Stardust movie. A friend recommended Sandman and I worked my way through those pretty quickly, especially when the backstory began to take shape.
I haven't looked to see what he's done since Ocean though, but then I'm going through more of a Manga phase at the moment!

No reason to Dio. We all have different tastes.
It's sacrilege to sat round here with so many fans, but I don't think Pratchett is a very good writer. Great ideas and concepts, but he really doesn't write very well. And even some of the ideas aren't string enough for a whole book - a short story perhaps. But there's lots to enjoy too.
Gaiman I think writes beautifully. But I'm no expert. G

I've enjoyed lots of his stuff, going right back to Neverwhere on TV. I really loved the Sandman series on Netflix, haven't tried the graphic novels as I'm not sure if I get on with reading visual stuff. Audible also do a good version of the Sandman if you're into audio stuff
