Morning, smoked salmon sandwich just eaten for breakfast - about 2 hours late, in pret a manger. I have bought a cheese and onion sandwich and an almond croissant for later.
I am really cold. My coach was a bit late to start with. It wasn't a National Express one but a crappy localish replacement with crap heating and no toilet. The suspension was crap too. An alarm sounded before Chichester and the bus broke down. After 4 watering cans of water we set off again. The alarm sounded again before we left town. He pulled in near a McDonald's and we had to wait for an hour for taxis. We could have got a train if we'd stayed in the bus station.
In McDonald's at a station. I couldn't get going with their wifi but am connected to the station wifi now. I have had a cappuccino and I'm preparing a fish for waving.
[From a few pages back ... '"starve a cold and feed the fever" ... 'fever' used to be synonymous with death and a 'common cold' could kill you (quite serious ManFlu!). Originally it was a warning/direction to keep people suffering with a cold eating and properly hydrated as starving the cold would weaken the patient and quicken their demise ... 'feeding death' ]
Have done the lawn's first cut of the year. Yesterday had better weather ... but I ran instead
